Azure Café wine dinners bring old world Italy to the table in Freeport, Maine. Each menu is derived from the cuisine of a particular town or region such as Sicily, Venice, or the Tuscan Coast. “Our wine dinners are my opportunity to explore the roots of Italian cooking and bring flavors and experiences to the table that have been shared in Italy for thousands of years,” said Azure Café, Executive Chef Christopher Bassett. He continues “food is an important part of history and history is an important part of food today.
The wine dinners are often lead by Azure Café owner/operator Jonas Werner. During the five course meal, Mr. Werner takes diners on a historical retrospective of the featured locale and correlates climate, geography, and culture to the cuisine. Mr. Werner said he finds it “exciting to reunite the ancient grapes of Italy and the wine maker of today with Chef Chris’s fantastic menus and deliver it here in Freeport during the winter.”
The wine dinners are also accented by the live accompaniment of
Maine's renowned jazz artists.

Please Note:
Tickets are available in person, by phone at (207) 865-1237.
All Wine Dinners Tickets are $54.50 per person,
not including tax (7%) or gratuity (18%) and Must be Purchased in Advance
or Held with a Credit Card Number. The Credit Card will not be charged until the evening of the event.
Please note these events require advance purchase of wine and food as well as up to a week's preparation for guests attending. Thus, Tickets may be cancelled or refunded only if cancellation is more than 48 hours prior to the event. All cancellations less than 48 hours in advance of event will be charged $25.00 per ticket. All no shows will be charged $25.oo per ticket.
Tickets MAY ONLY be used on the Date of the event and may not be transferred to another date.
Wine Dinner doors open at 5:30PM, and begin serving at 6PM sharp.
